To meet the current business challenges, we have opportunities for

Parts Industrialization Engineer (Thermoplastic Injection Molding)

Responsibilities:
- Champion the plastic injection molding process including the tool design and deployment of related tools.
- Ensure manufacturing feasibility of our products through tools/ parts/ molds designs and creations.
- Maintain and keep updated about tool creation and design evolution, maintenance, repairs, modifications, transfers, renewals, and change requests/ history.
- Control the inventory of tool/ mold assets including their quality, delivery and cost in accordance with product groupings.
- Provide technical support for new, adaptation and localization projects.
- Analyze tool capabilities and product reject rates so as to contribute towards continual improvement and optimization of manufacturing cycle time, productivity, etc, projects.
- Act as subject-matter-expert to verify suppliers’ tools and machines capabilities, and highlight tools design issues that may have impact to parts supplied to our factories (in terms of quality, quantity, etc).
- Manage multiple projects and timelines.
Requirements:
- Bachelor Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
- At least 3 years of hands-on tools designing, defining tool specifications, tools manufacturing, and contribution towards the design of parts manufacturing processes.
- Able to perform proper MTC on plastic injection molds – preventive, predictive and periodic.
- Knowledge of basic thermoplastic injection (raw material, injection molding machine, etc) and effective injection process parameter settings.
- Knowledge of CAD/CAM, MoldFlow, Steel Coating, SMED and/or related plastic tools designing and plastic injection manufacturing applications (eg CNC and manual machining).
- Hands-on experiences to use AutoCAD. Familiarity with Pro-E will be an advantage.
- Able to perform basic estimation of mold and part cost calculations and relative to the calculation of tool production capacity.
- Knowledge of 6-sigma concepts will be an advantage.
- Proficient with MS Office applications, ie Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Microsoft Project.
- Proven ability to follow-through and complete assigned tasks on time.
- Project management and leadership skills to handle cross-functional teams.
- Customer service and quality oriented.
- Good written and spoken English.
- Must be willing to be based in Batam.
